Film and Video Production in Austin
Have you seen some of the new movies with the amazing effects? They make me interested in becoming a film producer or even directing my own. I don’t know enough about video recording, special effects or even how to operate lighting for the best effect. I do have lots of ideas on what would make a good movie though. I found an Austin film and video production site that offers some basic services and I am wondering about a possible internship or something. Who knows, maybe they are looking for an overcreative, extrovert for some rare film appearance or experience where I could learn some new skills. There is no age on when you stop learning. I just need to research more into film school or video production so I can start doing some of my own productions.
A new desk and chair for the office
I have taken a new look at my office and wondered how I can spend so much time in here. I mean it isn’t really supporting a healthy work lifestyle with pizza boxes, piles of documents, pens all over the place and dust on my monitor. It’s time to get more focused. I found a few good ideas online about how to organize an office for more productivity and relaxation. I got an adjustable height desk to set my computer and papers on. It has 4 drawers for pens, pencils, and miscellaneous stuff. I got a new chair for more relaxation, it has a head rest for those long days. I found it on a new, fun site giving me some good bargains too. Nothing I expected from an online office store. I thought the shipping would be cost prohibitive but I was wrong. Most of my stuff has arrived and the office is looking so much better. I can’t wait for my massage chair to arrive. Maybe I went a bit overboard? Nah.
Recruitment Advertising gets more talent
It seems the regular way to do business is changing just as fast as the business. I am referring to online recruiting to get online jobs and even conventional jobs you need to commute to. The ads are easy to spot, they show happy people in uniforms and suits joyfully spending all their time doing something for someone else to gain enough cash to afford what they cannot afford. Oops. I mean, happy people = good recruiting. Recruiting is now more targeted and gaining more qualified candidates. Recruitment advertising is helping employers find better talent than simply putting out an ad. Have you seen people who don’t know anything about the job duties get the job and more pay than you? It happens because they are either good at telling people what they want to hear or the company was desperate to get another body next to yours to generate income. Its a great thing to be headhunted by professionals who can spot your talent and hook you up with a great employer, but most of the time you need to advertise yourself first. Advertising agencies who target recruiting are becoming more skilled at acquiring talent and keeping it.
FHA Loan Information to keep you in your house
During the course of a market rise and fall, the loans people were getting were out of their price range. What did the people do with a big beautiful home in sight? They took on more debt then they knew how to pay for. Things seemed good at the time. But why didn’t people simply get more information about the types of loans they could take. For instance, first time buyers can get discounts with government programs designed to help people get into home ownership safely and maintain a stable economy. There is lots of FHA Loan Information available on the web that people can learn about options for affording their dream home easily. Well, maybe a different dream home then they first encountered, but at least they can afford one. Better than getting thrown out of it after the adjustable loan changes on them. Get smart and inform yourself on the risks and options that come with owning a home before rushing out to satisfy the buying urge.
Deals on mobile phones
There is nothing like the feeling of a new phone and a new girlfriend. The latter is good, but still not the same as a sweet new phone with new features and technology. Maybe I am not the best with girls, but I know all about the new phones on the market. I have a new phone every 6 months or christmas time. Whenever I see a new feature that I think I will use, I go get the phone and a new service carrier. I get a good feeling when people see me with my sweet new phone especially when they cant one yet. You gotta search around for the best deals on mobile phones to get the best one for you whether it be the email features, pictures, and available gadgets.
Whenever I see a phone that I don’t have, I feel the need to research it. Often, it looks better than it actually works. Have you heard of the fashion phones that don’t even take pictures and movies? Useless to a mobile savvy gent like myself, gotta have just the best, nothing else. Get you phone to fit you first, make sure it reflects you and what you need at the time. Go for looks after, to be a sweet phone, its gotta have it all.
Arthritis joint juice product
I had no idea my mountain bike injury on my knee would have left me with these symptoms. I have aches on the right knee for about 3 months now. I really had a great trip last fall, but that little tumble had left its mark. My friend who is a swim instructor had let me know about an arthritis product capable of soothing some of the pain by helping the body heal the area faster and produce natural joint lubricant that the body needs. I thought it was all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo but apparently, it works. I have heard a few other people recommend this arthritis care vitamin. Its a joint relief product giving the body what it needs in all the joints of the body.
It can even help prevent future pain by allowing the body to naturally generate more joint juice in the area. Yeah, I made up joint juice, but what is it really? Joint oil? I don’t think so, Joint Juice is another first for this blog. I think I will look into creating an affiliate site that sells arthritis joint juice for joint relief. I better get some more for the next mountain bike trip.
Having a great time with Online Bingo
I think I mentioned before that I have a hobby with casino games and strategies. I am a big fan of blackjack and poker. I love the chance to make big money with just a small investment. I know people say that its gambling, and it is, but why is it still so fun even when you don’t win every time? I like to think of it like entertainment. My favorite form of online gaming is now Online Bingo at the PartyBingo site. Its has a lot of people that are there for fun, not just bingo. The Bingo game itself is fun, hanging on the next number… will it be mine? Who knows, but the more time I spend there, I get the impression that the others are there for the social aspect of it.
There are lots of ladies there and I love meeting new ladies. Not just for me, my brother has a hard time meeting ladies, so if I find an overl talkative one, I usually give her my brother’s phone number instead of mine. Who knows, maybe he is gambling too. But I think the odds are in his favor on this one.
A Blog with New Ideas
I got some good tips from a blog that I never saw before. I found some interesting advice about money and investing as well as some tips for better personal and business relationships. That is an interesting combination of topics, but its from a personal blog. The blog author runs a web directory but also writes this blog to share stories and experiences too. The blog is blog.Za7.org. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan and talks about fun and strange things he finds there. He blogged about a festival in Chichibu and talked about how special the event was to the local people.
The Za7 Blog also discusses people and psychology with insights about communication and business relationships. I found some fun ideas about how to relate to people in different job and work situations. I thought I knew how to deal with people but it seems this is always changing as well. We seems to evolve in our approach to thinking as we age and experience more. We see things differently because our needs and desires change with us. It is because of this that our perception is ever-changing. We need to be aware of it and use it appropriately. I learned that from the blog. That is refreshing to find on a web directory blog.
There is also a bunch of information about running a web directory and how to help people promote their own sites. I learned a lot about what sites are providing value and what sites are just providing a place for Adsense. It is quite shocking to me that some sites only exist to grab your attention long enough for you to click away to another site. It seems wasteful and distracting. Most of the time you don’t even want what is on that site. I like sites that offer value to the reader and make them think. Take a look at the Za7 blog to find more insights about website value and web directory value.
Richard Dawkins on Marketing
Richard Dawkins has some lessons to teach us about marketing.
He makes some really obnoxious statements, calls religious people all sorts of offensive names, and supports legislation that would treat sharing religion with children as a crime. Surely he makes Stalin look like a reasonable chap by comparison.
Now a lot of folks would think that such outrageous idiocy would be tantamount to business suicide, but when the business is selling books, this kind of trollish approach is a recipe for success. Dawkins book is a best seller.
Live and learn, eh?
Design Is A Key In Web Directory Draw
I’m currently using the dmoz web directory, but a friend of mine drew my attention to a new contender for the top spot of the web directories available out there on the Internet. He said he’d started using Web Directory 7 in the spring and had such good experiences he couldn’t understand why I’d still be stuck at dmoz.
Dmoz hasn’t been all bad but there have been minor disappointments. I’m not crazy about their design, first of all. If I’m not crazy about it, I wonder who else out there might be. I tend to think I have a pretty solid design sense, since that’s the nature of the business I’ve owned and run successfully for the last twenty-five years.
My friend Hartwig spends a lot more time than I do online, since I usually leave all the techie stuff to my son. Hartwig first heard mentions of v7n on newsgroups he’d subscribed to. I just don’t have time to get involved in all of that stuff, but lucky for me, my friends are keeping me updated on who the Internet movers and shakers are these days.
