Maintaining Customer Files
As an SEO, a lot of my time is taken up keeping track of my client’s details and maintaining their accounts. One thing that I have found to be most troublesome is remembering which blogs I have already submitted their websites to. It is for this reason that I decided to buy a cd dvd label machine so that rather than keeping my clients records in the filing cabinet, I can keep them on cd and/or dvd.
I know what most of you are thinking and that is why I don’t just have their folders on my PC. Well I do, however the number of times my PC has crashed is unbelievable so I also like to keep hard copies. I find that keeping the cds and dvds in those little carrying cases is quite effective and easy. By having the label maker, it ensures that whatever the contents on the disk, it’s easy to read unlike some of those markers that wipe off or smudge easily.
I am only new to the field of SEO, so I am still learning a lot. This website, along with others, such as v7n, has really helped me understand the many facets of the industry. My dream is to continue to build my client base and someday be able to retire somewhere nice on the beach whilst still offering consulting services.
