Website Traffic - Blog Carnivals
If you want to boost traffic to your website then it’s a really good idea to get a blog going. Once you have a blog, you need to get the word out that it exists. One of the best ways to do this is by joining a blog carnival. Blog carnivals are an excellent way to promote your blog and website and to drive new visitors.
So, what is a blog carnival? Well, it’s a place where you get to show off what you’ve been writing about in your blog. A carnival much like the Rio Carnival is a collection of blog posts around a certain theme. Usually, you submit your own posts to the carnival(s). There are literally carnivals for everything, from pets, to family life, there is even one on bath tubs.
Once you’ve written your blog it’s time to list it. Pick a blog carnival of your choice but make sure that your content is appropriate for it. Almost all of the carnivals have rules and regulations about what is and isn’t acceptable. So, be sure to check these rules first and also make note of the deadline for submission. It would be terrible to write a great post but miss the cut off date.
Once you’ve submitted your post, the carnival host will then do a roundup of all the posts. An email is then sent to all participants letting them know the carnival has been posted. Then it’s just a matter of time to wait for people interested in what you’ve had to say, to come and visit your website!
Dramatically Increase Website Traffic
Do you want to know three ways to dramatically increase traffic from search engines? Well I am going to let you in on a few secrets. More and more people are becoming increasingly interested in the mysterious art of SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, but why? The first secret is – It isn’t rocket science! Of course paying attention to search traffic and gaining higher ranking on Google is important but it doesn’t have to be difficult.
Manipulating search engine rankings for sites seems to have become harder and harder over the last few years. Trying to trick Google has become more of a pain and some SEO’s are wondering if they should just give into Google and start feeding them what they want. The result of this however has seen a huge increase in workload, namely copywriting and linkbaiting.
That’s basically the thing most SEO’s won’t tell their clients. There is no magic wand or mystical powers surrounding SEO. It boils down to just three things – Copywriting, Links and Networking. Copy should be short and snappy and offer the reading something about your site. It should also contain the keywords you wish to be used when doing a search of your website. Next, make sure people will link to you. Providing readers with what they want will only further increase your chances of gaining links and let’s face it, that’s the currency we are trading with on the net. Finally, begin networking with other bloggers. Leave comments on their sites, go to forums, and continually maintain good relationships with others in the same niche. This way sharing of links will be an easy process.
